The Salem Corporation Commissioner, K.S. Palanisamy, has asked the officials and employees to launch a concerted drive to collect taxes immediately.

At a meeting held here, he told the officials that there should not be any delay in collecting the arrears and other taxes due for Corporation. He told them that based on the collection, the civic body could undertake development works and disbursal of pension and wages to employees could be met. Those who failed to meet the requirements would face action, he warned.
