The new Integrated Collectorate complex will start functioning in 10 days, said Collector J Chandrakumar. Planting tree saplings inside the new Collectorate campus, the Collector said that Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam had already asked him to take necessary steps in this regard.

The road near the Collectorate was being widened. Members from Lions Clubs and Eco Clubs took part in the sapling plantation.
