Sona College to give training on Software Testing

Sona College of Technology here has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TQA Consulting Services, Salem, with the objective of providing training and certification to students in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
TQA consulting services is an independent industry-academia collaborative venture, with focus on Consultation, Training and Certification in the field of Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
College Secretary A. Dhirajlal, Principal P.Govindarajan and Ms. Archana Manojkumar, Managing Director, TQA Consulting Services signed the MoU.
A. Sevugamoorthy, Placement Officer, briefed the objective of the MoU and highlighted the need for such training to face the stiff competition in the IT Industry.
Balamurgan of TQA detailed about the course on Certified Testing and Quality Professional, which aims at narrowing the gap between novices and experts in this emerging field.
Besides the curriculum, the course would encapsulate Domain (BFSI, Banking etc), Soft Skills and Cross Culture training (UK and US work culture) giving a leading edge for better placement opportunities in the present competitive IT Industry.
He highlighted the fact that the Software Testing and Quality Assurance had an estimated global market of US $13 billion where in Asia-Pacific share is US $110 millions with the Indian contribution of 32 per cent.
He added that there is a 20 per cent increase in the demand for additional quality professionals creating more than 55,000 jobs created every year.
TQA would also organize workshops and seminars by eminent industry personal, for the students and faculty members of the Engineering and Arts Discipline to empower quality education in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
Dhirajlal urged the students to make use of this opportunity provided in the college campus, which would help them to build a successful career.
He explained students that how such training would also enable them to be self-employed, by undertaking online testing jobs and emphasised that students must always aspire for excellence and work hard to achieve their goals.
Principal, P. Govindrajan announced that the first batch would commence during the first week of September.
He added that students from pre-final and final year of any engineering/ MCA/ Science discipline, job aspirants and faculty members from all educational institutes in and around Salem are welcome to join and benefit from this course.
