Rotary Club of Salem in association with Madurai Aravind Eye Hospital will jointly conduct a ‘mega’ free eye camp at Rotary Hall here on September 5.

Its President A. B. Baskar says that the club is conducting its 34th annual eye camp in which the poor and the needy will be given free treatment.

“We have approached the officials, representatives of social organisations and self help group members in rural areas to identify the right beneficiaries for the camp,” he adds.

Veerapandi MLA A. Raja will inaugurate the free eye camp, it has been announced.

A team of doctors from Madurai would screen the patients for any ailment.
