Engine Snag Delays Salem Express

The Chennai–Salem Express suffered a 90-minute detention at Attur station on Thursday after its diesel locomotive developed a snag. Railway officials said the engine failed to start owing to deficiency in “pulling power.” The loco pilot informed officials in Salem Railway Division, who arranged an alternative loco from Vridachalam junction.

The train later left at 7.30am from attur station.
