Kingfisher airlines has started its Commercial operation from Salem on 15th Nov 2009. It was a huge crowd which gathered in Salem Airport to make this moment a great event.

Inaugural function started, several VIP’s like Minister Veerpandi Arumugam and Former Salem MP Thangabalu, Dheeraj Lal, Valliappa, Salem Collector were present and addressed to public.

The Inaugural flight from Chennai carried 48 passengers on 72 seater aircraft and the Return flight from Salem carried 71 passengers.
