In a press release by Southern railway, SR announced that the 1063 Chennai-Salem Express departure timings has been advanced by 20 mins. The Chennai departure from egmore will be @ 2300hrs. Earlier the train was departing @ 2320hrs.

It means the trains speed has been reduced. The Official arrival time @ Salem Jn will be 0620hrs.

Train No:6669- Chennai-Erode yercaud express via Salem Jn, which is also a prime train to salem, will depart from chennai central @2240hrs instead of 2230hrs. It means the speed has been increased to this train.

These time changes will get Effect from 01.11.2009.
